University of Denver Men's Soccer Camps
FROM DENVER HEAD MEN’S SOCCER COACH BOBBY MUUSS “We are proud of the accomplishments of the teams that have attended our HS Team Camp. Over the past 5 years, teams that have participated in our camp have won 4 CO HS State Championships, as well as 7 Runner Ups, and 16 state Semi-Finalists. Our format includes structured, theme based training session that are led by college coaches from across the country. Additionally, teams participate in matches which ensure opportunities for players and teams to work on training themes. Our team camp has been able to expose high school soccer players to a diverse group of college coaches each summer and help high school teams and coaches begin preparing for their seasons.” - Each team will have 5 sessions throughout the weekend which each include a 55 minute theme based, college coach led training session and a 55 minute training match against other camp teams. Each participating team will have 1 session Friday afternoon / evening, and a morning and afternoon session on both Saturday and Sunday.
- Each team will be paired with a college coach who will lead training sessions, coach and observe matches and work with HS coaches.
- HS coaches will receive printed copies of each of the training sessions the college coaches run with their teams.
- Each training session will have a specific functional or tactical theme, but college coaches will adapt training sessions to meet the needs and goals of high school team.
- Each participating player will receive an adidas Denver Soccer T- Shirt.
- Goalkeepers will receive specific goalkeeping training during each of the team’s training sessions.
- Certified athletic trainers will be on site at all times for player sports medicine needs.
